Sensual Massage With Homemade Essential Massage Oil
80
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner it’s a good time to start thinking about what we want to get the valentine in our life. Of course, the sentiment of Valentine’s Day can be summoned any day of the year, especially using aromatherapy aphrodisiacs for a sensual full body couples massage.
Close your eyes. Imagine yourself and that special someone alone, in a room of your preference, preferably unclothed. The glow of tons of tiny tea light candles dance like trapped lightning bugs on the walls, the warmth emanating from the hundreds of flickering flames envelope your two nude bodies and you begin dripping warm oil on your lovers skin. The moment is magical with the massage oil blossoming into a bouquet of exotic ylang ylang and delicate jasmine. They let out a pleased sigh and inquire what that seductive smell is and you amorously respond that it is a gift that you made specially for them and there is plenty more where that came from…
Corny, maybe, but all fantasizing aside we all know how special it can be when someone has put the thought, time and energy into a homemade gift. This is a time tested gift that wins every time. Especially when the massage is included, a sensual massage and a personalized essential oil blend will show that special person in your life just how much they mean to you. Of course in addition to controlling the ingredients in your all-natural essential massage oil, you and your partner will be reaping the innate benefits these plants and oils can give through skin and scent.
Choose Your Poison
- Lavender: increases blood flow to the sexual organs and female sensitivity
- Ylang Ylang: encourages euphoria and intimate feelings between couples
- Rose Otto: invokes passionate feelings in lovers and is a powerful aphrodisiac for women
- Tuberose: potent aphrodisiac for women; stimulates the brain and circulates blood to the sexual organs
- Sandalwood: seduces the men and encourages one to feel less inhibited
- Patchouli: aphrodisiac for men; relieves frigidity and impotence
Massage Tips
- Switch it up; use your fingertips, whole palm, fist, elbow.
- Get creative kneading, tickling and rubbing deeply gauging how your partner responds.
- Don’t forget the head! The scalp is a lesser-known erogenous zone so surprise your lover with a relaxing scalp massage.
- Massaging strokes should go toward the heart, its good to start at the toes and move your way up.
- Hands and feet are surprisingly erogenous as well, many a wild night has been started with an ‘innocent’ hand massage.
Ready To Make Your Own?
The first thing you will need to make you essential massage oil blend will be carrier oil. Carrier oil is usually a kind of vegetable or nut oil. I prefer coconut oil because the scent is easy to blend with essential oils and the nutritive qualities of virgin coconut oil surpass other oils, read about the benefits of virgin coconut oil! The reason you need carrier oil is that essential oils are too strong to apply directly to the skin!
When buying essential oil make sure that it is therapeutic
grade, in a dark bottle and that the other oils of the same brand are different
prices! A good sign that what you are buying is not quality is if the jasmine
essential oil and the lavender essential oil cost the same, they should not say
‘diluted’ anywhere on the bottle.
When I blend my essential oils with my carrier oils I first heat up a large Pyrex measuring cu p of water until almost boiling. Then, I use a smaller Pyrex measuring cup and measure the carrier oil and sit it in the hot water to heat. You don’t want to heat it up too much, and this way it’s heated and easily accessible so you can stir and add the oils. For every 50 ml of carrier oil use approximately 20 drops desired essential oil. I add the smallest amount of each essential oil that I plan to use, smell it and keep adding until I have the perfect intensity of scent. I have a really great memory so I usually just wing it, but when I really love the effect or I am making it for someone else I will write down the ‘recipe.’ Make sure you have a glass bottle or jar of some kind; essential oils do best in dark glass. I store my essential massage oil blends in a painted baby food jar, works like a charm. It’s really as simple as that, but don’t tell them when you give it to them, it smells and feels better than any massage oil you will find in the stores!
Ylang ylang essential oil is an enticing base for massage oil and fragrance blends; coco Chanel thinks so it’s in her Chanel No5! Personally, after I had my daughter it was admittedly harder than I had anticipated getting into a romantic, intimate mood. 1 cup of jasmine tea and 1 full-body massage including ylang ylang essential oil and I felt feelings of warmth and passion I hadn’t felt since the 2nd trimester! In addition to encouraging loving intimate feelings between partners it has a sweet anti-depressant quality for those like myself, feeling the winter blues. Especially for women who have trouble getting in the mood due to emotional or anxiety reasons, it really releases inhibitions. It blends well with other essential oils well. Sandalwood is a sensual aphrodisiac for men. For women rose, jasmine or lavender are alluring.

I read this Hub a little while ago. I found it very interesting, should I need the things available. But, again, being single, I really have no one to share this with. But, I did like the Hub itself. :)
God I love a back massage, especially since working at my computer chair all day etc makes my back so stiff! good hub, thanks for your kind words on my drawing hub, I really appreciate them :)
I think fitness hubs will be very popular, and so will massage hubs! I had my first while on holidays in The Philippines. It was amazing. So relaxing and soothing. Shiatsu massage is especially nice. Well done on a great hub! And thanks for becoming my fan too, double_frick. Love the name, by the way!
Good hub. Makes me feel excited after reading it. Will show Agnes this hub later tonight:) Thanks.. rated it up!
I don't ususally offer couples massage but often get calls for them. I think I will advertise couples massage in my services for Valentine's Day 2011 now. One day only, though. lol I do have chocolate minty and chocolate raspberry body oil from a company that I deal with and I also have two massage tables if needed. Great inspiration. Thanks for the article!
Thanks for sharing this article. Very informative. I think I'm going to try to make my own massage oil with ylang ylang for Valentine's Day. Last year I used a pre-made Chocolate Raspberry Mint Oil.
